GAME PROJECTS

Anchor 1
Untitled Project

This untitled platformer was the product of the COVID-19 lockdown. It was a collaborative effort between myself and 4 other graduate students at Northeastern University. The game features a world shifting mechanic, designed and implemented by myself, which has the character momentarily move from the physical world into an ethereal world. I also had a hand in doing some of character animations. We are continuing to work on it and our focus is to add more art and implement better character animations.

Shaft is a game made during the 2020 Global Game Jam. The theme of repair was used to simulate a repairman fixing an elevator by performing a random sequence of buttons and screen gestures. The game plays like a sort of endless runner where players accumulate more points the further they travel in the elevator.

King of the Ant Hill is a lane-based tug of war game for Android. Players take control of an ant colony and must generate worker ants to pull a piece of food towards their end of the play area. Aside from generating worker ants, the player may also spawn soldier ants to kill the enemy's workers. The game can be played against an AI opponent or against an actual person. For this project, I served as the primary programmer that implemented the AI, UI, and scripted unit actions.

The Great Earthquake of 1906

The Great Earthquake of 1906 is a semi-historical board game where players are put in the shoes of land developers of San Francisco right before the earthquake of 1906. The goal of the players is to build up their real estate empire all while smaller earthquakes and tremors happen as random events. Players who draw the earthquake/tremor event cards slam their hands on the tables as hard as they want. When the great earthquake happens on the final turn, all players slam their hands on the table at the same time.

Below are just some of the games I have had the chance to work on. For code samples visit my Github.
